NKY Books, a division of The Merlot Group, LLC, was established in 2011 to assist local authors in sharing their stories with a larger audience. Based in Covington, Kentucky, NKY Books is a small independent publisher/printer of novels, memoirs, stories, family histories, and children's books written and illustrated by local authors and artists.

As a small publishing house, the staff at The Merlot Group is able to spend a lot of time working side-by-side with the author to ensure the end result meets his or her expectations. Aside from publishing, The Merlot Group can also assist an author with promoting and distributing their work.
